Eiko performed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki Memorial

On August 6 this year, Eiko performed a short dance as a part of the Hiroshima/Nagasaki commemoration at New York Buddhist Church on Riverside Drive in Manhattan. She was also invited to speak during the service about her work about the Atomic Bomb and the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This is her speech.

In the meditation room. Nora Thompson, Eiko's former student and assistant, continued her ongoing drawing project, Centipede, which also serves as an exercise in imagining the real impacts of massive violence.
