On May 5, 2016 Eiko was invited to have a public conversation with experimental musician Otomo Yoshihide (founder, Project FUKUSHIMA!) at the Japan Society in New York. They talked about their experiences of using visual, sound, and performance art as a way of expanding the tradition of commemorating momentous events. They discussed the intersections of material and non-material forms in their artistic practices as a vehicle for memorializing 3/11.
